DGI Welcomes Five New Members to Board of Directors

Greensboro, N.C. – Downtown Greensboro Inc. today announced the addition of five new members to the organization’s 20-member Board of Directors. Each brings a wealth of professional experience and passion for advancing downtown as the economic, social and cultural hub of our community.

“We are honored to welcome this group of distinguished leaders to the DGI Board at a time when downtown is experiencing opportunity and change,” said Stu Nichols, DGI Board Chair. “Their collective experience and insights will be invaluable as we continue to push for a vibrant, welcoming and connected downtown for everyone.”

The new directors increase representation of downtown hospitality and retail business owners to ensure the organization is attuned to the needs and interests of the entire downtown community. Additionally, members with professional expertise in business, entrepreneurship and strategy were included in this slate of directors.

The new members elected to the DGI Board of Directors include:

  • Daniel Davidson, Owner & Co-Founder, Union Coffee & Abbey Taphouse
  • Ryan Hill, Co-Owner & General Manager, Neighbors
  • Tanya McCaskill-Dickens, Founder & CEO, Savor the Moment
  • Alan Overbey, CEO (Retired), Banyan Consulting Group
  • Clifford Thompson, President & Co-Founder, Thompson Traders, Inc.
