Downtown Greensboro Coffee Crawl Itinerary
A Downtown Greensboro Coffee Crawl
One of my favorite things about downtown Greensboro is how easy it is to turn a simple coffee run into an afternoon of wandering. Our coffee scene isn’t overwhelming or spread out — it’s walkable, local, and full of spots that each feel a little different.
If you’ve ever wanted to try more than one coffee shop in a day (or just didn’t know where to start), this downtown coffee crawl is a great excuse to explore!
Start at Union Coffee
I like starting a coffee crawl at Union Coffee. It’s bright, lively, and feels like a good energy reset to kick off your day downtown.
This is a great first stop if you want to ease into the crawl without slowing down too much. There’s always a bit of movement and conversation, which makes it a nice place to wake up. Keep your post-it note, or hang it on the wall!
Head to Latitud Coffee
Next, make your way to Latitud Coffee, which feels like a little hidden gem downtown.
Latitud is a cute pop-up coffee cart tucked inside the glass patio at Pangaea Bistro and Bar, and it’s one of those stops that feels special without being complicated. It’s perfect if you want to try something new!
Slow Down at Awoo Coffee
If you’re ready to slow things down a bit, Awoo Coffee is the place to do it.
Awoo has comfy seating and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to sit for a while. This is a great mid-crawl stop if you want to actually enjoy your drink, rest your feet, or have a longer conversation before continuing on.
Recharge at Northern Roots Coffeehouse
After Awoo, head to Northern Roots Coffeehouse — a downtown staple that feels warm and grounding.
Northern Roots always has an amazing seasonal menu. Make your crawl a little longer and enjoy one of their latte flights! This is a great place to meet up with friends!
Make a Stop at Chandler’s
Next up is Chandler’s, which feels like a familiar downtown favorite.
It’s an easy place to meet up with friends or take a longer break if your coffee crawl starts turning into more of a hangout. Chandler’s fits naturally into a day of walking, shopping, and popping in and out of places downtown. Maybe this coffee might be better as an espresso martini...
Linger at Common Grounds
If you’re looking for a place to really linger, Common Grounds is a solid choice.
This is where a coffee crawl can turn into a longer stop since you've made it to the end of Elm Street. This is somewhere to sit, talk, and lose track of time a little.
Wrap It Up at Lawn Service
I like ending a coffee crawl at Lawn Service by Little Brother Brewing.
It’s relaxed, social, and an easy transition into the rest of the day. If the weather’s nice, sitting outside here feels like a natural way to wrap things up! LeBauer Park is always bustling with activities too!
A Few Tips Before You Start
- Smaller drinks make it easier to enjoy more than one place
- Pair your crawl with shopping, a park visit, or lunch nearby
- Weekdays tend to be calmer; weekends feel more social
