This class is a comprehensive introduction to the sewing machine. Whether you're brand new to sewing or need a refresher, we will cover every aspect of how to use this machine, starting with winding a bobbin and threading the machine, to getting hands-on practice with sewing a drawstring bag. We will discuss additional tools and notions that are ideal compliments to working on the sewing machine, and how to pick out a machine for purchasing, as desired. The Forge will provide sewing machines, sewing kits, and materials for students, however, if a student has their own machine they want to learn on, we highly advise them to bring it in for this class.
