Introduction to Wheel Thrown Pottery

Welcome to the Forge introduction to pottery course, open to all ages from 12yrs to adults. The class is designed for beginners or those of you who wish to return to an art you enjoyed in your past.

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals to be able to produce your own creations with shop lead and instructor Ike Santiago. Students will be instructed on how to use the pottery wheel, tools, clay preparation, and how to enjoy working with mud.

This is a one-day, three hour course focused on learning the fundamentals. Students will be able to return to the Forge to collect their pieces after they have been glazed and fired by staff.
