In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Black Patriot Commemoration Project, in collaboration with the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, will present Unsung Heroes: Black Patriots of the Revolution during a three-day exploration of the often-overlooked African Americans who in pursuit of freedom helped shape our Nation’s independence. Through live performance, film, historical interpretation, and conversation, the weekend brings their stories forward while connecting the ideals of the American Revolution to the broader American story.
