Abstract patterns, circles, paisley shapes, and bold, bright colors capture Greensboro’s essence while celebrating its community in a fun, whimsical, and engaging manner. The design incorporates the silhouette of children blowing bubbles, evoking a sense of imagination as if the design originates from a bubble. The use of vibrant colors and modern shapes were in part influenced by ColorHaus, the mural by Primary Flight that formerly enhanced this area but was lost due to required bridge maintenance. Artist, Darlene McClinton, was assisted by her Creative Minds team, composed of professors and students from UNC Greensboro and NC A&T State University.
