Visitors to Downtown in December presented by Allegacy, will have the opportunity to view 50 uniquely decorated trees as part of Downtown Greensboro, Inc.’s (DGI) Tinsel Town. Intended to promote community, trees will be purchased and decorated by a local corporation, group, non-profit or family.

Tinsel Town is sponsored by three downtown-headquartered companies, Kontoor Brands, The Fresh Market, and First Bank and will be featured December 4-27 for daily family-friendly walk-thrus. This event is free for the community to attend and will be located in LeBauer Park, 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. each day.

“Tinsel Town is another example of our holiday programming that aims to spread holiday cheer in a safe, outdoor setting,” says Zack Matheny, DGI’s President and CEO. “Families will enjoy strolling at their leisure through the festive trees while also helping to support our local non-profits.”

Visitors to Tinsel Town will be invited to cast their vote for the top five tree designs via the QR code located at each tree. The top five vote getters will have a $500 donation made in their name to the non-profit of their choice. Tree sponsor price is $200 for a 6-7 foot tree.
