GREENSBORO, NC (October 25, 2022) – Beginning Monday, October 31, portions of N. Eugene Street between Smith and Bellemeade streets will be closed intermittently to through-traffic due to water main replacement. 

Work begins with lanes at the north end of N. Eugene Street near W. Smith Street, then progresses to mid-block, and concludes at the southern end near W. Bellemeade Street.

Motorists are urged to use alternate routes or expect delays around the work area. The job is expected to be completed by Monday, November 30.

Access to businesses and residences in the area will not be affected and additional on-street parking will be available during construction.

Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
