One City, One Film

  • Dates: July 22, 2020
  • Time: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM

As issues surrounding advancing racial equity take center stage in the national conversation, the Greensboro Chamber and the Greensboro Public Library are working together to facilitate a local dialogue about Black experiences – starting with the One City, One Film initiative.

One City, One Film asks citizens to watch the movie “The Hate U Give,” based on the novel of the same name. This will give us all a common language and starting point for talking about racial inequality. The following virtual film discussions will be held to explore the local impact of the issues presented in the film and identify action steps for ending systemic racism in our community.
