Kate will teach large platter construction that uses throwing skills but circumvents centering on the wheel. This platter technique is gentle on the wrists and does not require much upper body strength. It’s a perfect way to reimagine your use of the potter’s wheel and achieve large wide forms. The workshop participants will spend the second day exploring surface decoration using slips and variety of resist techniques.
