Guilford Battleground National Military Park was the site of the largest battle of the Revolutionary War’s Southern Campaign, and it also was the touchstone for the beginning of the preservation movement in North Carolina. Rebecca Barefoot, Park guide and UNCG historic preservation student, will describe the battle, the social history of 1781 Guilford County, and the story of the preservation of this site. This virtual local history lesson is free on Zoom as part of Preservation Greensboro's celebration of Guilford County's 250th anniversary.
