Downtown Greensboro, Inc. (DGI) is pleased to announce the final line-up of musicians for the ACC Tournament Town Downtown Street Festival scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 12:00-9:00 p.m.
Headlining act Southside Station is a Charlotte-based, southern rock band whose veteran musicians have played with Charlie Daniels, ZZ Top, Styx, Foreigner, Jimmy Buffett, Sara Evans, and Sheryl Crow among others. Their members also perform as 20 Ride, the top Zac Brown Tribute in the country. Southside Station will play a high-energy, family-friendly, 2-hour set from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Other artists scheduled will complement the Otis & Wawa St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl activities coinciding with the DGI Festival. Artists include:
- 12:00 p.m. – Bag Pipes Kick-Off
- 12:15 p.m. – Irish Dancers
- 12:30 p.m.-1:45 p.m. – Banjo Earth Band
- 2:00 p.m. – Irish Dancers
- 2:15 p.m.-3:30 p.m. – The Finns
- 3:50 p.m. – Bag Pipes and Irish Dancers
- 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. – Southside Station Band
- 6:30 p.m. p.m.-9:00 p.m. – Gipsy Danger
The Festival will include an outdoor stage at S. Elm Street and Smothers Place, a beer garden featuring local breweries Natty Greene’s, Little Brother Brewing and SouthEnd Brewing Co., an interactive, child-friendly game area, food trucks as well as the dozens of local restaurants in the area. Festival admission is free.
DGI’s Tournament Town Downtown is presented by NC Carolina Core, a corridor connecting Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, and Fayetteville, with four prime megasites, over 2.2 million skilled workers, and more than 200 development sites. The Festival on March 14 is also sponsored by the Guilford Merchants Association.
