When New Orleans’ BONERAMA takes the stage, you can guess it’s not like any brass band you’ve seen. They can evoke vintage funk, classic rock and free improvisation in the same set, maybe even the same song. Bonerama has been repeatedly recognized by Rolling Stone, hailed as “the ultimate in brass balls” (2005) and praised for their “…crushing ensemble riffing, human-feedback shrieks and wah-wah growls” (2007). Founded by Mark Mullins and Craig Klein, former members of Harry Connick Jr.’s Big Band, Bonerama carries the brass band concept to places unknown. Named “Best Rock Band” (2007 and 2010 Big Easy Awards). Tickets: $22 General Admission. After Party at Bin 33, 324 South Elm Street. The concert is located at The Empire Room, 203 S. Elm Street.
